How it works

From the tender you pick to the version you upload.

  1. Step 1

    Choose the tender

Bring us one you have found, or we will suggest some. We read what is advertised across the UK each week and pick out tenders that match the work you have already done. Once you say yes to a tender, we write it for you alone.

  2. Step 2

Send us the pack and your material

Most portals only release the tender documents to firms that register to bid, so we need you to register and send us the pack. Along with it, a few recent bids or fee proposals, exactly as they are. That is how we learn your projects and the way your practice writes.

  3. Step 3

We check the fit, then plan

Before anyone writes a word, we test your experience against the scope of works and the scoring. If there is a gap that could sink the bid, we tell you plainly and you decide whether to go ahead. Then we plan each answer: the point it makes and the project that proves it.

  4. Step 4

    We draft, you comment

You get a complete draft, with questions in the margin wherever we need a fact from you. You read it first, then we have a short call. Comments come back in writing, because your directors will sign the submission as true and a written record avoids mistakes.

  5. Step 5

    Final version and upload

We send the final version at least a day before you upload it, with practical notes on the portal, file formats and signed forms. You submit it in your own name.

How we compare

Most bid writers charge up front, whether or not the bid goes anywhere. We work the other way round.

How much time we need

We count back from the deadline. Portals can be slow, so we aim for you to upload the day before the bid closes. The final version reaches you at least a day before that, and your written comments come back a day before that.

A week or more between receiving the pack and the deadline is comfortable. Less can work if the pack and your material arrive quickly.

What we need from you

  • The tender pack, downloaded from the buyer's portal
  • A few recent bids or fee proposals, won or lost
  • Details of the projects and people you would put forward
  • Who your partners are, if you are bidding as a team
  • Your price, which you set
  • Short written answers to the questions in the draft
